Shivangi S. Nirgun has been teaching Bharata Natyam at The Fine Arts Society from 2010. She has a Masters Degree in Performing Arts from Mumbai University. She has gone ahead to complete a bachelor’s and then a Master’s degree in Performing Arts from Nalanda Mahavidyalaya, Mumbai. She has completed a Visharad in Bharatanatyam apart from securing a Diploma in Folk Dance. She has performed at the Maharashtra Suvarna Mahotsav and at Natyanjali. She has also participated in some of Nalanda’s Dance ballets.
Sonali Tambe has a Masters Degree in Performing Arts from the Mumbai University. She has also completed a bachelors and then a Masters degree in Performing Arts from Nalanda Nritya Kala Mahavidyalaya, Mumbai. She has performed at the National level dance festival of Nalanda Nrityotsava and received the ritya Nipuna award, performed at Tirupathi Devasthanam, Natyanjali, NCPA, Mumbai etc. She won the first prize in National Level Competition ‘Brahamotsav” 2017 conducted by Brahmanand Arts & Performing Studio, performed at International film festival 2018 at NCPA, also with the Nalanda team in collaboration with IAID Doha, Qatar. She has performed in various productions with Nalanda Nritya Kala Mahavidyalaya under the guidance of Padma Bhushan awardee Dr. Kanak Rele and Dr. Uma Rele.
Dhwani has completed her Masters in Performing Arts (Bharatanatyam) from Nalanda Nritya Kala Mahavidyalaya. She did her Arangetram under the guidance of Dr. Agniswaran in October 2015. Doordarshan B graded artiste, Dhwani has knowledge of Choreographing for Nritya, Shlokam, Padam and Javali. She has performed at the Rasika Ranjani Sabha in 2017.
Veethi Malekar is a graduate in Bachelor of Performing Arts and is pursuing Masters in Fine Arts from Nalanda Nritya Kala Mahavidyalaya which is affiliated to the Mumbai University. She has attended workshops conducted by Padma Bhushan awardee Dr.Kanak Rele in Bharatanatyam. She has performed in Ravidra Natya Mandir, Mumbai, Hampi Festival, Bangalore, Sanskriti Festival, Thane and also at Doha, Qatar to name a few.
Sruthi Ashokan has completed Masters in Performing Arts from Nalanda Nritya Kala Mahavidyalaya. She has various performances to her credit such as at the Guruvayoor Temple, Kerala, Devi production of Nalanda Dance Research Centre, Rotary Club, Mumbai, Lit-ofest, Mumbai to name a few.
Ravina Salaskar has completed Masters in Performing Arts from Nalanda Nritya Kala Mahavidyalaya. She has various pperformances to her credit at Shri Siddhivinayak Temple, Rubaru Event, Youth Festival, Indian Science Congress, NCPA, Kanaka Utsavam, Maharashtra Utsav etc.
Ms.Gayatri Dikshit has completed Sangeet Visharad in Kathak with first class and Distinction from Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Mandal. Kathak Dance teacher at The Fine Arts Society, she also heads VARADA NRUTYALAY for the past two years.
Ms. Amruta Gupte, joined The Fine Arts Society as a Kathak teacher in the year 2018. She has completed her Nrutya Visharad, passing with a first class from Akhil Bhartiya Gandharva Mahavidyalay, Vashi under the guidance of her Guru Nrutyalankar Mrs. Aparna Pendse. She has participated in various Indian classical dance festivals and has been awarded with Kalpataru Kala Sanman by Guruvarya Smt. Maneesha Sathe and Guruvarya Smt. Mythili Raghvan.
Padmini Joshi holds a graduate degree in Arts. She has obtained Nrithya Alankar in Kathak Dance under the able guidance of Guru Dr.Mrs.Manjiri Deo. Her experience in teaching, performing and choreography justly showcases her passion and talent in the field of Dance. She has performed and choreographed several dances for the Kathak Ke Rang, Eeshanjali, Subramania Swamy Samaj Temple at Chembur etc. The senior citizens group, Mahila Samaj Mandal and Hindu Jagruthi Manch have witnessed various programs and benefited from her expertise. Further, she has choreographed flash mobs and classical performances in the Chembur Festival and Kala Ghoda Festival. She has been the recipient of the Natya Ratna Award. She has been teaching at The Fine Arts Societys School of Music and Dance from 2015.
Kosha B. Gandhi
Kosha B. Gandhi teaches Bharata Natyam Dance. She has a Masters Degree in Performing Arts (Bharata Natyam) from Bombay University and a Diploma in Kathak from LASYA (affiliated to SNDT, Juhu, Mumbai). She has taken part in may Dance competitions, dance workshops and has won awards and prizes. She teaches dance in Nalanda Nritya Kala Mahavidyalaya and other Institutions and has performed in festivals and dance productions.
Bharatanatyam is a major form of Indian classical dance that originated in the state of Tamil Nadu. It is one of eight forms of dance recognized by the Sangeet Natak Akademi and it expressed South Indian religious themes and spiritual ideas, particularly of Shaivism, Vaishnavism and
Sathva Srinath teaches Carnatic Flute. She is a Post-graduate in Economics and Commerce was initiated into Carnatic Vocal Music at an early age of 4. She learnt Carnatic Flute under the tutelage of Padmashri Dr. N. Ramani and Advanced Vocal Music from Smt. T.R. Balamani. She is an All India Radio Artiste with Mumbai Station. She has won several awards and prizes at various centres in competitions for wind instruments and Vocal Music.
B. Anantharaman or Ravi
B. Anantharaman or Ravi as he is popularly known was initiated into the art of playing violin at the tender age of six and has more than lived up to the promise he showed earlier carving a niche for himself. He underwent advanced training under Shri S.V. Ramachandran for 12 long years. Ravis violin technique is impeccable, powerful, precise and powerful while his music is highly creative. His musical caliber has been acclaimed both in India and abroad. He has accompanied renowned musicians like Smt. D.K. Pattamal, Smt. Aruna Sayeeram, Shri Shankar Mahadevan, Smt. Bombay Jayshree, Shri Maharajapuram Ramachandran, Shri Sankaran Namboodari and also acclaimed dancers like Smt. Chitra Vishweshwaran, Smt. Hema Malini, Smt. Meenakshi Seshadri, Smt. Sudha Chandran, Shri Raja Reddy and Smt Radha Reddy, Shri V.C. Chandrasekhar. A Software Consultant by profession, Ravi Effortlessly straddles the world of Music and Computers.
G.Krishnan has been pursuing both Carnatic Vocal and Instrumental music since his childhood, and has trained in the disciplines of Vocal, Violin and Percussion. He has been associated with us, as a Visiting Faculty for teaching Carnatic Violin since 2008.
Nachyarkoil Shrikant teaches violin in Carnatic Stream. He had his basic training in violin from Smt. Shantha Balasubramanian and advanced training from Shri S.V. Ramachandran. He has undergone Special Training in Carnatic Vocal under Late P.N. Krishnamoorthy, former Principal of The Fine Arts Societys School of Music & Dance. He is totally involved in teaching violin in several other music institutions.
SMT PRAVEENA GOUTHAMAN
Smt. Praveena Gouthaman is a post graduate in Carnatic Vocal Music from Madras University. She has been a disciple of Smt. Sumathy Subramanian (disciple of Smt. Balamani), Smt. Raji Subbaraman and Sangita Kala Acharya Smt. Radha Namboodiri. She has given several performances in Mumbai and Jugalbandi concerts in Sree Venkateswara Temple, Pittsburgh and the Hindu Cultural Centre, Ontario, Canada. Also a post graduate in Veena from the Tamil Nadu University of Music & Fine Arts, Chennai, she is training under Smt. Shyamala Sajnani.
Smt. S. Subbalakshmi has done senior level music course from the Directorate of Technical Education (Music) Karnataka State, affiliated to the Bangalore University. She has had the privilege of accompanying Guru Shri T. S. Anantharama Bhagavathar at the Madras Music Festival.
With considerable teaching experience in Music, Smt.Subbalakshmi joined The Fine Arts Societys School of Music and Dance in the year 2012. She has mentored some of her disciples for their debut performances at Chennai as well as the Aditya Sangeet event at The Fine Arts Society. She has trained students for various events like Independence Day Celebration. Navarathri, Ganesh Chaturthi festivals, Thyagaraja Aradhana, Chembur Festival etc.
Smt. Jyothi Krishnamurthy is a disciple of the well known musician and teacher Shri Chandrashekara Bhagavathar. Currently, she is undergoing advanced training under Smt. Raji Subbaraman. She has been teaching in The Fine Arts Societys School of Music and Dance from 2010.
Smt. Shyamala Radhesh has teaching experience in the field of music for more than 15 years. She has completed senior examination in Carnatic music from Karnataka Board with distinction. She has also acquired a degree in music from the Karnataka board. She has received training under Shri V. Vamanan. She has performed in several places in Mumbai and Karnataka.
Smt. Aparna Kannan has been a disciple of able Gurus Oothukkadu Shri Muthukrishnan and Smt. Jayalakshmi in Chennai. A Chartered Accountant by qualification, she has completed the Teachers Training Course from Shankar Mahadevan Academy. She has a teaching experience of five years. Earlier a Balvihar Sevika, she has started singing for dance recitals. She has won many prizes in music competitions and organized music festivals. She continues advanced training under Smt. Jaya Subrahmaniyen.
Shri G. Krishnan was initiated into learning violin at The Fine Arts Societys Music School. His love for the classical violin saw him train under several Gurus culminating in advanced training under Smt. Gomati Sitaraman. He has won several awards at the State & National levels and has performed live on radio and TV. A post graduate in Business Management, he has completed introductory course in guitar from the Berkeley College of Music. He has been our faculty member since 2008. He has composed music for short films, ads, documentaries etc.
Shri B. Anantharaman has been a disciple of Shri S. V. Ramachandran for 12 years. He has accompanied renowned musicians like Smt D. K. Pattamal, Smt Aruna Sairam, Shri Shankar Mahadevan, Bombay Jayashri, and dancers Shri V. Chandrasekhar, Shri Raja Reddy and Smt Radha Reddy and several others. A software consultant, his musical calibre has been acclaimed in India and abroad.
Smt Lalitha Ramachandran began her tutelage under Shri N.Nagarajan (Lalgudi School) and continued with Smt T.Rukmini, whom she supported in violin concerts. She had the opportunity to learn some of his compositions from the maestro Shri Lalgudi Jayaraman. She continued learning with Shri GJR Krishnan. She has a B.A. degree in music from the Madras University. She has performed in various Sabhas in Chennai and in AIR & Doordarshan. She has a teaching experience of 20 years and has been propagating the art in different parts of India & abroad.
SHRI SATISH SESHADRI
Shri Satish Seshadri, a disciple of Smt Seetha Ramakrishnan. He is a renowned violinist in the music and dance circuit in Mumbai and Pune. He has the experience of accompanying all dance forms like Bharatanatyam, Mohiniattam, Kuchipudi and Manipuri. He has performed in famous festivals like the Bandra Festival, Elephanta Festival etc.
SHRI A.L. NATH
Shri A. L. Nath, faculty member for Mridangam, underwent advanced training under Shri Parassala Ravi, Principal of Chembai School of Music. His desire to excel in this art was guided by Padma Vibhushan awardee Umayalpuram Shri K. Sivaraman. He continued advanced training for over 16 years from Vidwan Shri T. R. Rajamani. Shri Nath has accompanied stalwarts like Dr. S. Ramanathan, Shri M. Chandrasekhar, Dr. Balamurali Krishna and Shri Unnikrishnan. He has given Mridangam support to Dr. K. J. Yesudas and many composers like Shri M. S. Viswanathan for many recordings. He was a member of the India delegation for the Festival of India at Brazil in 2018.
Shri Shankar Lakshman is a disciple of Shri T. S. Nandakumar. He is an AIR artiste. He has had the fortune of accompanying renowned musicians for twenty years and more. He has accompanied senior musicians Malladi Brothers, Ranjani - Gayatri, Ganesh Kumaresh, Sikkil Gurucharan, Dr. N. Rajam and several others.
Ms. Janaki Krishnamoorthi is a disciple of Sangeetha Kala Acharya Smt. Kalyani Sharma. B graded artiste of All India Radio Mumbai, Smt. Janaki is a recipient of the Hemamalini Endowment Scholarship for six consecutive years (1990 to 1996). She has judged many music competitions, has been an examiner in music exams and written articles on Carnatic music in leading newspapers. She has presented many solo, duet and group performances in Mumbai, Chennai & Coimbatore, including The Music Academy and Karthik Fine Arts. She has been teaching Veena for over 2 decades and has been with FAS Music School from 2015.
Smt Lekshmi Sateesh learnt under Guru Smt Leela Vittal, Smt Malathy Vallury and Smt Saroja Hariharan. She has performed various Veena concerts in temples in Navi Mumbai. Smt Lekshmi has been felicitated by Bhakta Rasika Ranjani Sabha BARC, Rotary Club Nerul, Saraswati Kalashetram and NSS Nerul. She has been conducting Swathi Thirunal Aradhana on the Birth Anniversary of Swathi Thirunal since 2013.
SHRI N BHASKARAN
Shri Bhaskaran Nagarajan has received advanced training at The Fine Arts Societys School of Music and Dance from Smt. Sathva Srinath, senior disciple of Dr. N. Ramani. Shri Bhaskaran is now undergoing advanced training from Shri Thiagarajan Ramani, Chennai and an online student of Shri K. Raman, U.S.A. He is a faculty member of Carnatic flute since 2007. He is associated with Ramanis Academy of Flute Mumbai Chapter. He performs solo concerts in Mumbai and other cities in India and has been a regular accompanist for Bharatanatyam and Kuchipudi dances.
Smt. Jaya Subrahmaniyen, Head of the Department of the Carnatic Stream, has been teaching music for the past 45 years. B grade artiste of the AIR, Smt. Jaya is a disciple of senior musicians Shri K. S. Krishnamurthy, Shri Vaidyanatha Bhagavathar and Shri P. N. Krishnamoorthy. She takes special coaching for fast track students, grooming them for stage performances and has conducted workshops on the Krithis of eminent composers. Many of her students are accomplished artistes and some are teachers in this art. She was awarded a citation by The Fine Arts Society in 2017 and Nadalola in 2018 for her dedicated contribution to music.
V. Sriram teaches Carnatic Vocal. He is a Sangeeta Shiromani from Kalakshetra, Chennai. He has performed at several centres in Mumbai and other cities. He has taken part in Swati Tirunal festivals and other music seminars. He has been honoured by Shruti Foundations.
Kalpagam Krishnan teaches Carnatic Vocal Music. She has a Teachers Diploma in Carnatic Music from the Teachers College at the Music Academy, Chennai. She hails from a family of musicians and is associated with singing and music for the last 40 years. She was trained under famous Gurus like Palghat K.V. Narayanswamy, B. Rajam Iyer and T.M. Thiagarajan among others. She specializes particulary in teaching Kritis and teaching Bhajans to Tiny Tots (young children)
Shreeprasad Parab a Civil Engineer by profession and a Harmonium player by his pursuit. He has completed sangeet visharad in first class under the guidance of his Guru Sangeet Alankar Shri Ajay Thosar.
Being a Consulting Engineer and a Developer he has maintained to keep his hobby breathing and also currently fleeting his knowledge to his shishas.
Vaibhavi Vasant Prabhu (Pramila Warang)
Vaibhavi Vasant Prabhu (Pramila Warang) teaches Harmonium, synthesizer and Hindustani Music for Tiny Tots. She is Visharad in Harmonium as well as Hindustani Vocal Music. She also has a Diploma in Light Music. She learnt Classical Music under Smt. Malati Kolhatkar and Shri Raghunandan Panshikar, Harmonium under Pandit Shri Tulsidas Borkar and Shri Vishwas Barve and Light Music under Pandit Yashwant Deo and Smt. Manisha Joshi. She has played Harmonium in several musical programmes. She is the recipient of prestigious Savitribai Phule Award for her contribution to the field of music.
Smt. Vatsala Rao learnt Hindustani Classical Music from Shri Manikrao Thakurdas for twenty years and Smt. Kaushaya Manjeshwar and Padma Bhushan awardee Smt. Mogubhai Kurdekar for ten years. Smt. Vatsala has completed Sangeet Visharad from Pune Gayan Samaj. She has been an AIR artiste for ten years. She has been teaching music at The Fine Arts Societys School of Music and Dance for over two decades. A graduate in Economics with Music as an ancillary subject, she is a post graduate in English Literature from St. Xaviers College. She has done her BEd. and was working as a school teacher for twenty-five years.
SHRI KIRAN KAMATH
Shri Kiran Kamath teaches Hindustani Vocal Music. He is a Sangeet Visharad and a Master of Fine Arts in Hindustani Classical Music. He is an approved artiste of All India Radio. He learnt from Gurus like Pandit A.K. Abhyankar, Pandit Ajay Pohankar, Pandit Pundalik Prabhu, Dr. Vidhyadhar Vyas and others. Although visually handicapped, he has overcome his deficiency and completed his education in normal school. He has won many awards and titles for music and has performed in Indian cities as well as abroad. He has been teaching at The Fine Arts Societys School of Music and Dance for over two decades.
Smt. Radhika G. Rao teaches Hindustani vocal music for students of different levels. She has been teaching at The Fine Arts Societys School of Music and Dance for more than fifteen years. She has passed Sangeeth Prabhakar (equivalent to Visharad) from Prayag University. She is well versed in Carnatic Music also. She is a devoted teacher and a conscientious musician.
Ms. ARPITA KARMAKAR
Ms. Arpita Karmakar has been teaching Hindustani Vocal Music in The Fine Arts Society since October 2009. She is a Post Graduate and has completed Sangeet Visharad & Sangeet Alankar from ABG University & Sangeet Praveen from Allahabad University. She has good teaching experience and besides Classical Music, is well - versed in Bhajans, Ghazals, Bengali songs etc. She was awarded RAWA RATNA from Kolkatta. She has given performance with Pt. Ajay Chakraborthy. She has won the Best Music Teacher award in Bharat Vikas Parishad Group Singing Competition in 2013.
Smt. Adity Shome teaches Hindustani Vocal music. She started learning music early and by the time she was fourteen she was well - versed. She first did Visharad in Rabindra Sangeet and then in classical vocal music both from Prayag Sangeet Samiti. She has performed at several places including abroad. She has won many awards and prizes in prestigious competitions. Pandit Ajay Pohankar, Smt. Anjali Pohankar and Shri Kiran Kamath were her Gurus. She is presently studying M.A. in Music under Guru Kankana Banerjee. She has been teaching at the Fine Arts Society from 2010.
Smt. Madhuri Sarkar teaches Hindustani Vocal Music. She has passed B.A. (Music) in Hindustani Vocal and Sangeeth Prabhakar. She has a Post-graduate Degree in Philosophy too. She has been teaching Music for the last ten years. She has been teaching at The Fine Arts Societys School of Music and Dance from 2011.
Smt. Alka Jain is a classical vocal singer. Adept in all classical forms like khayal, taraana, dhrupad, bhajan, natyasangeet, she is particularly a fine exponent of khayal. Her singing is naturally inclined towards the Jaipur-Atraul gharana. She is a devoted teacher and a favorite to many students of ages from 6 years to 60 years. Alka has a fine penchant for semi classical singing where the ragas meet lyrics to create emotions and moods. She has conducted workshops to bring this art to the students, with karaoke or accompanying instruments.
Alka is a Sangeet Visharad from the Akhil Bhartiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya (ABGMV), Miraj. She is a registered teacher and examiner of the ABGMV for many years. She has been teaching at The Fine Arts Societys School of Music and Dance from 2015.
Smt. Kalpana Belokar is Sangeet Visharad from the Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya (ABGMV), Miraj. She is a registered teacher and examiner of the ABGMV for many years. She has done Bachelor of Arts with Music from Nagpur University and has also completed Master of Arts in Music from Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University
SMT. BHAVNA KENT
Smt. Bhavna Kent teaches Hindustani Vocal music for students of different levels. She has passed Sangeeth Prabhakar (equivalent to Visharad) from Prayag University. She is well versed in Carnatic Music also. She is a devoted teacher and a conscientious musician.
Ms. SUCHITRA CHARI
Ms. Suchitra Chari started pursuing music at the age of 8. She started learning Hindustani Vocals as well as to play the harmonium under the guidance of Smt Radhika Rao. She has participated in multiple competitions in childhood and also represented her College in the Youth Festival in Mumbai University. She has completed her Visharad under Gandharva Mahavidyalay and is currently pursuing her Sangeet Alankar under the same University. She also is an active member in the Art of Living Foundation, where she is a lead Satsang singer.
SHRI BHUSHAN PARCHURE
Shri Bhushan started learning tabla at the age of 6. In 1993 he joined the Ustad Allarakha School and underwent vigorous riyaaz under the ever watchful eyes of his Guru. Ustad Allarakha ji moulded him in to a very promising artiste. After his demise, Shri Bhushan continued his training under Ustad Zakir Hussain. He has received traditional training of fourteen years from these Maestros.
Bhushan has received National Scholarship from the Government of India. A B high graded artiste of A.I.R., he is also Sangeet Alankar of Gandharva Mahavidyalaya. He has been teaching at The Fine Arts Society for more than fifteen years. He has performed with highly renowned artistes like Ustad Zakir Hussain, Ustad Taufiq Qureshi, Pandit Arvind Parikh, Shri A. R. Rehman, Shri Anup Jalota etc.
He has performed at Samrat Alladiyan Khan Sangeet Sammelan, Kala Ghoda Music Festival, Bandra Festival, N. C. P. A. and other prestigious festivals and venues. He has had a successful tour of the UK and Portugal, Germany, Poland, Austria & Srilanka.
SHRI SURYAKIRAN ANIL MARATH
Shri. Suryakiran Anil Maratheestry is a renowned Tabla player from Mumbai. He started learning Tabla at the age of 13. His initial learning was done by Dhri Anil Marathe and took training from Shri Vasant Laghate. He completed his Visharad in Tabla. He performs solo and is also accompanying an artiste for the past 7 years. He has accompanied many celebrity artistes. He is also into teaching for the past 7 years. He is currently teaching Tabla at The Fine Arts Society. He is undergoing advanced training since 2006 under Guru Shri Bhooshan Munj, a leading disciple of one of the world renowned Tabla Maestros Pt. Anindo Chatterjee.
Shri Yogesh Sovani
Shri. Yogesh started learning Tabla at the age of 8. He has done Visharad and
Alankar in Tabla from Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya. He has been
under the tutelage of various renowned masters like Shri Ramesh Gokhale, Late
Pandit Jitendra Abhisheki, Late Ustad Alla Rakha Khan Saheb, Pandit Bhavani
Shankar and he is continuing advanced training with Pandit Sudhir Mainkar and
Ustad Zakir Hussain.
Besides teaching, he has given several performances as an accompanist and as a solo Tabla player. He has performed as an accompanist for Pt.Anup Jalota, Sitar Maestro Pt.Shankar Abhyankar, Dr. Prabha Atre, Shri Suresh Wadkar, to name a few.
VAIBHAVI VASANT PRABHU

She has also acquired additional knowledge of playing instruments like Tabla, Pakhawaj and Keyboard.
Smt. Kalyani Gangishetty
Kalyani Gangishetty is qualified in Kuchipudi Telugu University, Hyderabad. Kalyani Gangishetty has over 12 years experience in Kuchipudi Dance and has given over 200 performances all over India. She learnt Dance from Ms. V.Neeraja Devi, Swarnamukhi Arts Acdemy, Telangana State, Shri Vedantam Radheshyam from Kuchipudi Village, Andhra Pradesh, Shri Pasumarthi Venkateswara Sarma, Sri Balatripura Sundari Dance Academy, Hyderabad .
Mithila Padhya is an exponent of Mohiniattam from Nalanda Nritya Kala Mahavidyalaya and has completed Masters in Performing Arts in Mohiniattam. She has performed in Shanmukhapriya, Sanskriti Festival, Natyakeshi Academy of Performing Arts, Solapur to name a few.
Priya Rajeev was initiated into Kuchipudi dance at the tender age of 7. She is a senior disciple of Guru Sri M.S.R Murthy, who is a senior disciple of the legend Late Guru Vempati Chinna Satyam, and Principal of Kuchipudi Kala Kendra, and has undergone rigorous training under him for a period of 13 years. She has performed at various places within India which include Mumbai, Hyderabad, Nagpur, Vijayawada, and Kolkata and has performed at prestigious dance festivals like Mumbai Festival, Kalidas Festival and Rainbow Festival etc. With the blessings of Lord Nataraja, and her Guruji, she has recently started training a batch of young vibrant students at the Fine Arts Society, Chembur. Her goal as a teacher is to get more and more students interested in Kuchipudi dance and impart the knowledge of Kuchipudi dance to one and all, so as to promote rich Indian culture. Apart from Kuchipudi dance, Priya has deep interest in the field of classical music and has completed Diploma in Carnatic vocal. She is also undergoing training in Carnatic violin.
Sanskriti Chatterjee teaches Kuchipudi Dance. She learnt Kuchipudi from Smt. Radha Rohan, Shri Ramachandra Murthy and Guru Sreemoye Vempatti. She has participated in several dance ballets in India and abroad. She has performed solo and in group items at different centres all over India and abroad. She has anchored National Performance of dance aired by Doordarshan. She is a Graduate in Commerce.
Pallavi Phaujadar has completed her Bachelor of Performing Arts (Dance) with a first class, specializing in Bharata Natyam from Nalanda Nritya Kala Mahavidyalaya, the premier College of Classical Dance affiliated to the University of Mumbai. Presently, working as Dance Teacher at Fine Arts Society, Chembur. Given several solo & group performances at various occasions in both classical as well as folk forms of Indian dance.

Dr. Meenakshi Iyer Gangopadhyay
Dr. Meenakshi Iyer Gangopadhyay is creatively involved in training the senior students in Bharata Natyam Dance. She finds creative expression in Bharata Natyam, Vocal Music, choreograpy, teaching, nattuvangam, research and a host of such related artistic activities. Trained from a very young age in Bharata Natyam, Meenakshi has completed the Masters Degree in Fine Arts (Dance) and Ph.D in Dance under the guidance of her mentor, Dr (Smt) Kanak Rele apart from the Masters Degree in Commerce and Diploma in Sanskrit from the University of Mumbai. She is a Professor in Dance since the past 17 years at her alma mater, Nalanda Nritya Kala Mahavidyalaya â€“ the College of Indian Classical Dance affiliated to the University of Mumbai. She is the recipient of the Shri Nageshwar Rao Scholarship from the University of Mumbai and the Minor Research Fellowship from the University Grants Commission
He is an AIR graded artiste and has had the fortune of accompanying Carnatic and Hindustani stalwarts over the last 20 years and more - Shri T. K. Govinda Rao, Prof. Shri T.N. Krishnan, Dr. Smt. N. Rajam, Shri. T.V. Gopalakrishnan, Shri. Guruvayur Dorai, Shri Vellore Ramabhadran, Shri M. Chandrasekaran, Smt. R. Vedavalli, Pandit Suresh Talwalkar... and in more recent times, Malladi Brothers, Trichur Brothers, Ranjani-Gayatri, Shri Saketharaman, Shri Ganesh & Shri Kumaresh... to name a few. An advertising professional, Shankar continues to nurture his ruling passion - music.
A L Nath
A.L. Nath is a faculty member for Mridangam. He was initiated at a very early age of 4 years under the late Vidhwan Shri. Narayana Iyer. After a brief 6 year period it was Shri. Parassala Ravi, Principal of Chembai school of Music who gave advanced training. The desire to learn and excel in this art form was made possible by none other than Padmavibushan Shri. Umayalpuram K. Sivaraman. The quest for perfection of Mridangam continued further and it was under the tutelage of Mridangam Vidhwan Shri T R Rajamani (Son of the legendary maestro Mridangam Vidhwan Padmavibushan late Palghat Shri. T S Mani Iyer ) who gave this advanced training which continued for over 16 years. Nath gave the first stage performance was at the age of 11 years with Sangeethapoornashree Sangeetha Kalanidhi Shri. N.P. Ramaswamy. He has also accompanied various artists like Sangeetha Kalanidhi Dr. S. Ramanathan, Violin Samrat Sangeetha Kalanidhi Shri. M Chandrasekhar, Sangeetha Kalanidhi Padmavibushan Dr. Balamurali Krishna, Perumbavoor Shri. Raveendranath and Madras Shri. Unnikrishnan. Nath has given Mridangam support for Padmashree. Dr. KJ Jesudoss for the various recordings brought out by Tharangini Studios. Nath has given percussion support for recordings of various composers like Shri. MK Arjunan, Vaikom Shri. Dakshina Moorhy, Shri. Jaya Vijaya, Shri. M.S. Viswanathan, Shri. M Chidambaranath, Shri. Jerry Amaldev, Shri. TS Radhakrishnaji, Shri. K. Raveendran. Nath was a member of the India delegation for the festival of India held at Brazil last year. Currently gives regular accompaniment in Pakwaj for the Namsankirtan performances of Maharashtra Abhang ratna Shri. K. Ganesh Kumar. He has also been a recipient of various awards.
Abhishek Parab is a young promising “Tabla Player” of his generation. The does not belong to a musical family and so is the first professional artist in music.
Abhishek started learning table at the age of 16 from Pandit Shripad Jail. He continued his training for ten years and completed Tabla Visharad.
For the last six years he has been teaching in the FAS School of Music & Dance as a “Tabla Teacher”. He is an outstanding performer. Besides, he is a Commerce Graduate from Mumbai University.
Bhushan Parchure teaches table. Bhushan hails from a family of artistes and is a promising Tabla player. He is a Sangeeth Alankar in Tabla. He has trained under Ustad Zakir Hussain and has performed along with many renowned musicians and at prominent centres like NCPA, Yashwant Rao Chavhan Centre, Shanmukhananda Hall, etc. He performed in Indian cities and abroad.
Shripad Ganesh Jail
Shripad Ganesh Jail was born and brought up in a musical family. He received training from his father, Shri Ganesh Jail in Tabla and Vocal. He learnt under the tutelage of renowned contemporary Tabla Maestros. He has passed Alankar in Tabla and Sangeeth Visharad in Hindustani Vocal from Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya. He has obtained an A Grade Certificate from All-India Radio at an early age of 18. He was selected for a 5-year Scholarship from the reputed Dadar-Matunga Cultural Institution and also had won several awards in India and abroad for excellent Tabla Recitals.
